Description
Hurford's Stores is a house with shop premises dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from stuccoed stone rubble and features a slurried slate roof with stone coping at the gable ends. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. It has sash windows with glazing bars. On the left side, there is an early to mid-19th century double fronted shop window, which includes pilasters, an entablature, multi-pane windows, and a rectangular fanlight above the central doorway. The entrance door to the house, located to the right of the shop, is a flush panelled design. The building has rebuilt brick chimney stacks over the gable ends and is included for its group value.
