Description

Ashes Farmhouse is a house dating from around the 17th century. It is built of stone rubble and features a thatched hipped roof. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high. The windows are 20th-century casements, and there is a 20th-century door with a thatched porch. A rebuilt brick ridge stack is present on the roof.

To the south, there is a long wing from the 18th century that has a concrete tile roof and a small 20th-century shop window. Inside, the farmhouse has stopped chamfered ceiling beams and a fireplace with a chamfered bressummer. There is also an 18th-century staircase with turned balusters.
