Description
There are two stone fragments located 4 metres south of St Barbara's chapel in the churchyard of the Church of St Lawrence. The date of these fragments is uncertain, but the lower stone is possibly medieval. The lower stone is likely made of Doulting stone and may be the base of a cross, featuring a squared plan with four square columns revealed by chasing, leading into a circular top. The upper stone may be a fragment of a monument, which includes four gablets and a square mortice for a finial stone.
