Description
This is a fragment of a former priory located at the southeast corner of the Church of St Thomas-by-Launceston. It likely dates from the early 13th century and is constructed from volcanic stone. The fragment includes the base of a moulded pier featuring a cluster of three engaged shafts. Additionally, there is a fragment of a cross head with remnants of a flared Greek cross against the wall behind it.
