Description

This is a fragment of a former priory located to the south of the Church of St Thomas-by-Launceston. It dates back to the 12th century and is constructed from volcanic stone. The fragment consists of part of an octagonal pier, which was one of two or three piers that supported the floor of the Day Room and the Dormitory.
