Description

This is an early 19th century remodelling of an 18th century double-fronted house, located on the east side of College Square, Stokesley. The building is constructed of rendered brick, with a raised eaves line to the Welsh slate roof. The roof features stone coping, a kneeler on the left side, and chimneys positioned centrally and to the left.

The building has two storeys and three windows. The first floor features sash windows with glazing bars set within wooden architraves, and stone sills. The ground floor has a central six-panel door, topped by an oblong fanlight, set within a doorcase composed of reeded half-columns, paterae, a frieze and a thin cornice hood. A late 19th century canted bay window is positioned on the right side, and a modern bay window on the left.
