Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century building on the south side of High Street, Stokesley. It’s constructed of local brick in an English garden wall bond, with a pantiled roof and a brick chimney on the right-hand side. The building is three storeys high with a wide, single-window frontage. It has sash windows, some with wooden architraves and stone sills. The ground floor features a small shop window and a six-panel door with an oblong fanlight, set within a reeded doorcase decorated with paterae. A yard door is located on the left-hand side. The rear extensions, built at a similar date, are largely unspoiled.
