Description
Martin House, dating from the early 19th century, features a pebbledash exterior on brick. The roof has been renewed with concrete tiles but retains stone copings and brick end chimneys. The house stands three storeys high with two wide bays.
On either side of the central entrance, which is a replacement double door, there are two-storey canted bays that are adorned with fluted pilasters and entablatures. All windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there is a back staircase window with interlaced bars. To the east, there is a long garden wall.
Inside, the house boasts a crescent curved staircase with a ramped rail and square balusters. The woodwork is of good quality, featuring reeded architraves with paterae on the windows, doors, and cupboards.
