Description
A late 18th or early 19th century double house with a central passage plan. The building is constructed of local brick in a Flemish bond pattern. The roof was originally pantiled but has been replaced, with a brick chimney on the left side. Number 17 has two storeys and two windows. It features modern pivoted windows with gauged flat brick arches above, and stone sills. The ground floor has a reproduction double shop front with glazing bars, and a six-panel door in the centre. A boarded passage door is located to the right. Number 19 is rendered and has a pantiled roof, with a left brick chimney. A later 19th-century canted bay window sits above a modern shop front. Number 19 is included in the listing primarily due to its integration with Number 17.
