Description

Linthorpe House is a late 18th century building, likely adapted from an earlier house. It is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond and features modern clay pantiles, stone copings, and kneelers, along with end brick chimneys that are also stone-coped.

The house has two storeys and three bays, giving it tall proportions. The first floor has a centre window that is painted in trompe l'oeil. The plain sash windows are framed by wood architraves, with gauged brick flat arches and stone cills. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped with an oblong fanlight, all set within a flat pilaster-and-entablature surround that includes a cornice hood.
