Description
Numbers 1 and 2 Spring Cottage are a pair of cottages built in the early 19th century. The front is made of dressed limestone, while the rear is constructed from rubble limestone. They have a pantile roof and brick stacks. Each cottage is a single cell with a rear outshut, standing two stories tall with a two-window front. The right side features irregular quoins. Each cottage has a six-panel door with a divided overlight to the left of a 16-pane sash window, both adorned with painted bordered, tooled lintels. There is a single 16-pane sash window on the first floor of each cottage, and the ground floor windows have painted stone sills. The cottages have end right and center stacks and were unoccupied at the time of the resurvey.
