Description

Glebe Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse, altered in later periods. It is constructed of dressed limestone with bordered, herringbone-tooled quoins, and has a pantile roof and brick stacks. The building follows a central stairhall plan, with a depth of one and a half rooms. The symmetrical front façade has three windows to each floor. A central four-panel door is set beneath a patterned overlight. The windows are 4-pane sashes with stone sills, and all openings have plain wedge lintels. A round-headed, Gothick-glazed staircase window is located at the rear. The gables have coping stones with shaped kneelers. End stacks are present. Attached to the front are cast iron railings and a garden gate to the centre, featuring spearheads and mace finials approximately 0.75 metres high, set on a stone plinth.
