Description
Opicana is a house located on the north side of Lockton Village Street, dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations and an extension. The front is constructed from hammer-dressed limestone, while the sides and rear are made of limestone rubble. It has a pantile roof and brick stacks. The house features a 2-cell direct-entry plan and a continuous outshut has been added. It is two stories high with a three-window front. To the left of the center is a 20th-century door, flanked by two-light small-pane horizontal sliding sashes with stone sills. The first-floor windows are three-light small-pane horizontal sliding sashes. The ground-floor openings have heavy tooled lintels, while the first-floor openings have timber lintels. The gable is coped, and there are stacks at the left end and center right. The house was unoccupied at the time of the resurvey.
