Description
West View Cottages is a pair of cottages, originally three, built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from limestone rubble that has been brought to course and feature a French tile roof. The left cottage is a three-cell design, while the right cottage is a single-cell. Both cottages are two storeys high and have four first-floor windows, with the roof line dropping over the right cottage. The entrance includes a six-panel door set within a 20th-century porch, flanked by two-light Yorkshire sash windows. There is a blocked doorway leading to the former left cottage and a boarded door for the right cottage. On the first floor, there are two-light Yorkshire sash windows, and wooden lintels are present throughout the structure. The cottages have stacks at the right end and on the ridge. They are included for group value considerations.
