Description
Numbers 1 and 2 Church Row are two dwellings that were originally three cottages, built in the late 18th century with some later alterations. The buildings are constructed of dressed grey sandstone and feature a pantile roof with brick stacks. The structure is two stories high and has a four-window front. There are 20th-century half-glazed doors located at the centre left and centre right, while the third doorway in the centre is now blocked and has a 20th-century pivoting sash window. The remaining windows on the ground floor are 4-pane sashes, and the first floor has squat 4-pane sashes. All openings have painted chiselled lintels, and the windows have stone sills, with the sills on number 1 to the left being painted. The building has coped gables with shaped kneelers and stacks at the ends, centre, and centre right.
