Description

No 4 Hungate is an early to mid 19th century building featuring later 19th century elements. It is two storeys high, constructed of stone with a pantile roof. The facade includes two four-light windows with mullions and transoms, one of which extends above the eaves. On the ground floor, there is a four-light mullion and transom window with a stone lintel, alongside a modern door. This building is part of a group that includes the Forest Vale Hotel and a wall, as well as Nos 1 to 7, 9 to 15, 17 to 22, 24 to 26, No 26A, and No 27, with Nos 7, 9, 10, 22, and 24 noted for local interest.
