Description

No 2 East Street is a building with an 18th-century front that incorporates elements from a 15th-century structure. It has three storeys and features one window. The facade is covered with weatherboarding and has a hipped gable. On the first floor, there is a canted bay window with a wooden balcony that extends beyond it, supported by brackets. The ground floor has a large bay window with four lights. The entrance consists of a six-panel moulded door, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 7 (consecutive), the Union Inn, and No 9, along with Nos 104 and 104A High Street.
