Description

No 2 North Street is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall with attics, featuring one dormer. The front is made of plastered brick and is adorned with a heavy carved modillion eaves cornice. It has a two-window range with flush frame sash windows that include glazing bars. The roof is tiled. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with fielded upper panels and a patterned fanlight set in a wooden case. The building serves as both a house and a shop, although it has a modern shop front. This property is part of a group with Nos 1 to 3 North Street and No 3 Old Market Place, as well as Nos 1 to 7 and Nos 9, 9A, and 10.
