Description

No 12 Mercer Row is an early 18th-century building with later alterations. It has two storeys and attics, featuring an ashlar front elevation and a brick rear wing, topped with a modern tile roof. The façade includes three pedimented dormers and a 1-3-1 window arrangement in moulded stone surrounds, with the outer windows set in slight rusticated breakfronts. The building has a modillion eaves cornice and hung sashes with glazing bars, with cills resting on tabs. The ground floor has a modern shop front, and there is a yard door to the right. Inside, the property features panelling and an early 18th-century staircase. Nos 4 to 14 (even) form a group with this building.
