Description
Nos 4 and 6 Mercer Row are 18th century buildings that stand two storeys high with attics, constructed of brick. They feature a modern cement pantile roof and have rendered rusticated quoins on the first floor. To the right, there is a remaining quoin from a demolished house. The buildings have one flat-topped modern dormer with casement windows, and three windows with wood surrounds, hung sashes, and glazing bars. The late 19th century shop front consists of two lights with modern tiled stall risers. A wood eaves cornice is present, and there is a four-panel door to the right with a blocked rectangular fanlight. Nos 4 to 14 (even) form a group.
