Description

This is an 18th or early 19th century building on HUNGATE. It is two storeys high and constructed of coursed stone with a pantile roof and stacks at the gable ends. The left-hand gable end has a cope. The front has three windows with stone lintels and modern shutters, although the original windows had no glazing bars. The ground floor incorporates a modern shop front with two windows and plain pilasters. The building forms a group with numbers 29 and 31 (Pickering United Reformed Church), the railings and gates in the courtyard, numbers 33 to 47, and numbers 49 to 52 on HUNGATE.
