Description

The gates and gate-piers to Castle Hill House date from the early 19th century and are made of wrought- and cast-iron, along with ashlar stone. The gates feature circular wrought-iron bars topped with cast-iron fleur-de-lis finials. There are wrought-iron scrolls on the outer standards and cast-iron urn finials on the inner standards. The gate-piers are rusticated ashlar set on plinths and topped with cornices.
