Description
The Black Swan Inn is a hotel dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and consists of three storeys, featuring four first-floor windows. The ground floor has two 20th-century board doors, with relieving arches of rubble voussoirs above the original openings, which have been altered. The windows have projecting ashlar sills and sill-like lintels, with mainly 16-pane sashes on the ground and first floors, and 9-pane unequally-hung sashes on the second floor. A projecting cut-out block sign for the inn in the shape of a swan is also present. There are stacks located at the left end and between the second and third windows. The building is included for its group value.
