Description
Pickersgill, Butcher is a house and shop dating from the late 18th century. It has a rendered exterior and a Welsh slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and has two bays. On the ground floor, there is a central part-glazed door set in an ashlar surround on plinths, featuring straight tooling, moulded arris, imposts, and slightly-curved inner corners to the lintel. This door is flanked by late 19th-century square-bay shop windows. In the left corner, there is a 19th-century four-panel door leading to the rear yard, which is in a plain opening. The first and second floors have sash windows in ashlar surrounds, with the windows on the second floor being smaller. The building also features paired modillion gutter brackets, a shaped kneeler, and ashlar coping on the right side, with stacks located in the centre and at the end on the right.
