Description

This is a lamp standard located in Middleham's Market Place. It dates from the late 19th century and is made of cast iron. The base has a square plan and features a cast garland on all sides with the inscription 'EOVIDAD EN LA JVSTICIA'. The lamp standard has a lotus base that supports a hexagonal column, which includes a projecting ladder rest. At the top, there is a modern electric lamp fitting, which is not of special interest. The lamp standard is included for its group value.
