Description
The premises of the Wensleydale Advertiser is a house and shop dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a Welsh slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and has three bays. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century square bay window, a part-glazed door, and another part-glazed door flanked by square bay shop windows, all from the 20th century. The building has string courses. The first floor contains 4-pane sash windows set in plain ashlar surrounds, while the second floor features half-size 6-pane sash windows, also in plain ashlar surrounds. The eaves are dentilled, and there are shaped kneelers with ashlar copings. The building has end stacks, with the left stack made of stone.
