Description

The gates and gate piers to Elston House were constructed around 1860 and are made of cast iron. The gate piers feature four attached shafts with intricate filigree capitals and moulded finials. The pair of gates has wrought-iron heads. On either side of the gates, there are flint walls topped with pitched limestone coping and plain cast-iron railings. Elston House, built around the same time, is not included in this listing. The entrance, with its decorative gates and gate piers, stands out prominently along the road.
