SETTRINGTON VILLAGE STREET (east side) No 29-30

GV II

Pair of cottages, now single house. Probably late C17 or early C18; renovated c1800 and remodelled and extended 1985. Squared limestone on renewed brick-faced plinth; brick eaves course; concrete pantile roof with brick stacks, one rebuilt. 2-storey, 3-window front. Right of centre C20 door and end left board door. 2-light, 16-pane horizontal sliding sashes with painted stone sills throughout. Painted timber lintels to all ground- floor openings. End and centre left stacks. Interior: C18 plank doors have been re-used throughout ground floor. Rear extension not of special interest.
