Description
Numbers 44 and 45 are a pair of cottages built around 1800. They are constructed of squared limestone with a brick eaves course. There is a brick outbuilding attached to number 44, and both cottages have a corrugated asbestos roof with brick stacks, one of which has been rebuilt. The cottages are two stories high and have a four-window front. Each cottage has a central door and features two-light, 24-pane horizontal sliding sash windows with painted stone sills throughout. The ground-floor openings have painted tooled wedge lintels, while the first-floor windows are topped with painted timber lintels. At the rear, number 45 has a lean-to outbuilding, and number 44 has a single-storey outshut with a catslide roof. There are stacks at both ends and in the center.
