Description
This is a late 18th-century house, though it may have earlier origins, with alterations and modernisations in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared limestone, with some parts rendered and colour-washed, set on a limestone rubble plinth. The eaves are timber, and the roof is covered in pantiles, with brick stacks, one of which has been rebuilt. The house has a central stair-hall plan. The front is two storeys high and has a two-window arrangement. A central 20th-century door is flanked by three-light casement windows with small panes. The first-floor windows are also three-light horizontal sliding sashes with small panes. All windows have painted stone sills, and the ground-floor openings have painted, tooled wedge lintels. End stacks are present. The building is included on the listing for its group value.
