Description

This is a mile-post located approximately 30 metres southeast of the Church of St Eloy, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a triangular section pillar that stands about 1 metre high. The top of the pillar slopes downwards and is inscribed with "London 228". The left side of the pillar has the inscription "Darlington 9", while the right side reads "No' Allerton 7".
