Description
This is a milepost located approximately 30 metres southeast of High Enter Common Farm, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a triangular section pillar that stands about 1 metre high. The top of the pillar slopes downwards and is inscribed with "London 229". The left face has the inscription "Darlington 8", while the right face reads "No' Allerton 8".
