NEWALL WITH CLIFTON CLIFTON LANE SE 14 NE (west side) 10/69 Well Farmhouse and attached barn GV II

House and barn. House dated 1641, the barn dated 1874. Coursed squared gritstone, graduated stone slate roof. House: 2 storeys, 2 bays; barn of 3 bays. Quoins to house and to barn left. House: C20 glazed door right, chamfered quoined jambs and shallow triangular head; stone plaque above with "1641" inscription: IB? . Recessed chamfered mullion windows to ground floor, ? of. 3 lights to left and 4, now 2 lights to right; two C18 first-floor windows of 3 lights, with flat-faced mullions. Banded end stacks. Barn: central cambered arch to cart entrance, now a window, the keystone dated: " T C " W ; first-floor pitching eye to left; right bay obscured by C20 lean-to 1874 outbuilding, not of special interest.
