Description

Cherry Tree Farmhouse is a house dating to 1717. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone rubble with a graduated stone slate roof. The house has two storeys and four bays, with quoins. A 20th-century board door is located in bay 4, within a moulded quoined surround and an ogee doorhead inscribed "IM 1717." Recessed chamfered mullion windows are present throughout, with 2, 2, 5, and 4 lights on the ground floor, and 4, 4, 2, and 4 lights above. There is a bulbous kneeler on the left side and a restored kneeler on the right; gable copings are also present. A large ridge stack is opposite the door, and another is located on the left gable, both with cornices.
