Description
Roundabout Farmhouse and the attached barn are a late 17th century house and barn, with the barn possibly dating from the same period but altered in the 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared gritstone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The farmhouse is two stories high and has three bays, while the barn also has three bays.
The house has quoins and a four-panel door set in a quoined surround, with a chamfer stepped across the lintel. It features recessed-chamfered mullion windows throughout, including a five-light window in the center with king mullions and four-light windows on the ground floor, all under a continuous hoodmould. On the first floor, from left to right, there is a three-light window (with one mullion removed), a four-light window (with two mullions removed), and a two-light window. The right side of the house has a bulbous kneeler and gable coping, along with end stacks.
The barn has quoins on the left side and features a cart entrance with double board doors and a wooden lintel. There is a byre door to the left and a square opening under the eaves on the left side. The interiors have not been inspected.
