Description
Middle Farm is a house and attached barn dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone and features a stone slate roof. The two-storey house has three bays, with a three-bay barn located to the right.
The house has a door with two rows of three panels and tie-stone jambs, positioned left of center. On both floors, there are two-light flat-faced mullion windows flanking the door. The left end of the house has shaped kneelers and gable coping, with central stacks that are both corniced. At the time of resurvey, the left bay was roofless.
The barn features a central cart entrance with quoined jambs, although the lintel is missing. There is a byre door at the far right with tie-stone jambs, and a window to the left of the byre door with a plain lintel. The barn was also roofless and in a state of dereliction at the time of resurvey.
