Description
The barn to the east of Redshaw Hall dates from the late 18th century and was remodeled in 1869. It is constructed of coursed and dressed rubble stone, featuring ashlar dressings. The roof is made of stone slate and has coped gables with kneelers. The east gable wall is accented with quoins.
On the south front, there is a large off-centre cart entrance with a segment-arched head and double plank doors. To the right of this entrance are three stable doors, each with flush ashlar surrounds. Above the cart entrance, there is a plaque inscribed with "WIM 1869." The rear, or north front, has an off-centre doorway and a window to the left, both also featuring flush ashlar surrounds.
