FEWSTON HARDISTY HILL SE 15 NE (west side, off) Blubberhouses 2/37 Skaife Hall Farmhouse GV II

Farmhouse. Mid C18 with mid C19 addition. Coursed squared gritstone, graduated stone slate roof. 2-storey, 3-bay main block with 2-storey projecting wing to left. Quoins. Main block: central 4-panel door with plain overlight in plain surround with the framework of a gabled porch with cast-iron columns. Flat-faced mullion windows of 3 lights to ground and first floor and a round-arched window with projecting keystone and imposts to first-floor centre. Shaped kneeler and gable coping to right, shaped stone gutter brackets, banded end stacks. Wing to left: gable end - flat- faced mullion windows of 4 lights to ground floor and 3 lights above; single-light window in right return. Shaped kneelers, gable coping, banded lateral stack left. Rear, main range: doorway right, 2-light windows ground floor left and first floor left and right, tall staircase window with transom, centre. Interior not inspected; the building boarded up at time of resurvey. Barn range attached to wing, right, not included in the listing.
