Description
Calf Cop Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1680, with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of slobbered rubble and has a stone slate roof. The lobby entrance faces away from the road. The building is two storeys high and has four bays with scattered fenestration. The left-hand gable features an entrance porch with a door from around 1980. The entrance has a moulded surround with a basket-arched head above a decorated lintel, which is dated with the initials IA:G, and a four-panel door. To the right of the entrance, there is a 20th-century ground-floor window and an extreme right-hand double-chamfered two-light window, along with 20th-century casements. The upper floor has four 20th-century windows. A ridge stack is located to the right of the entrance. The rear of the farmhouse also has scattered fenestration, with all windows featuring 20th-century casements. On the ground floor, there are three former 17th-century two-light chamfered mullioned windows, although the mullions are now missing, and one large late 19th-century or early 20th-century two-light chamfered mullioned window, along with a right-hand single-light window from around 1980. The upper floor includes a single-light chamfered window, one former two-light and one former three-light chamfered mullioned window with missing mullions, and one 20th-century window on the left-hand side. The interior is not accessible.
