Description

No 11 Bridge Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations over time. The building is constructed of pinkish-brown brick, featuring an ashlar band and quoins, topped with a pantile roof. It stands three storeys high and consists of a single bay. The entrance, which is off-centre, is from the 20th century and is set within a glazed shop front that has a 19th-century pilastered surround with a flood. Above the entrance, there is a two-storey, three-sided canted bay that contains 20th-century multi-paned casement windows. The first and second floors have cill bands, and there is a dentil cornice at the top. The interior of the ground floor has moulded beams and joists with ogee stops, although the rest of the interior has not been fully inspected. At the time of the re-survey, the building was disused.
