Description
No 16 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with a 20th-century ground floor. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and four bays, with a plinth at the base. The entrance is off-centre and consists of a modern glazed door flanked by glazed bay windows. There is also an end entrance with a six-panel door set beneath a round arch that has a keystone. A four-course band runs along the first floor but does not continue around the building. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows, while the second floor features 6-pane sash windows, all set under wedge lintels with fluted keystones and cills. The building is topped with a double dentil eaves cornice and has end stacks.
