Description
No. 10 High Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of pinkish-orange brick with magnesian limestone dressings and has a Welsh slate roof. The building has three storeys and features two windows on the first floor. It has a plinth and quoins. The ground floor has been altered in the 20th century. The entrance is at the end, with steps leading to a half-glazed door beneath an oblong fanlight that has glazing bars, all set within a pilastered doorcase topped with a hood. A canted bay window extends through the ground and first floors, adorned with a modillion hood. The windows are 2-pane sashes throughout, with cills on the ground floor and a cill band on the first floor. The first floor sash has a wedge lintel with a keystone, while the second floor features segmental heads. The building is capped with a double dentil cornice and has end stacks.
