Description

No. 18 High Street is a house dating from the early 13th century, with 20th-century additions and alterations. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick and features a pantile roof, along with remnants of a magnesian limestone plinth. The building has two storeys and two windows on the first floor. There are three steps leading up to a central four-panel door that is set beneath a soldier arch. The ground floor has canted outer bays, likely added in the 20th century, which are made with 18th-century brick and feature 16-pane sash windows in the center and 8-pane lights on the sides. The first floor is fitted with 12-pane Yorkshire sash windows. The roof is swept, and there are stacks at both ends.
