House, later Liberal Club now flats. 1755, converted 1990s. Incised stucco on brick; graduated Lakeland slate roof (Palladian style). 3 storeys and attic, 4 windows and a projecting 2-storey, 2-bay left entrance extension. C20 door in right bay. Renewed windows in original openings with raised surrounds and stone sills; the first floor is a piano nobile with longer windows and a sill band. Eaves cornice and full-width pediment with recessed lunette in tympanum. Flagpole on corbel below eaves. Entrance section has a tall round arch, with patterned ironwork in head and steps up to deeply-recessed original door, under a tiny lunette in right bay. C20 garage doors under two C20 pivoted windows in left bay. INTERIOR: now converted to flats but noted as retaining many C18 features including staircase, chimney-pieces, many 6-panel doors and a half-domed elliptical alcove with rich mouldings.
