Description

Bridge House is a mid-19th century house in Ulverston. The exterior is painted roughcast, with yellow brick dormers and chimney caps, and an artificial slate roof. The house is two storeys plus an attic, with two bays. It has glazing bar sash windows with painted stone surrounds and projecting sills. There are attic dormers with 6-pane sashes and bargeboards, above a fascia board with timber brackets. The doorway, located between the bays and offset to the right, has a painted, chamfered stone surround, topped with a cornice on heavy brackets. The door itself is of six panels, with the upper two glazed. Gable chimneys are present. A tall stair window with glazing bars is visible on the left-hand return wall. The building is listed for group value only.
