Description
Two houses, probably dating from the 18th century, located in Lower Holker. The construction is roughcast stone with a slate roof. The houses are two storeys high and three bays wide, with the first bay forming the separate dwelling at No. 1. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars and horns. The entrance to the first bay has a glazed door. The entrance between the second and third bays features a flat, bracketed canopy and a six-fielded-panel door with two glazed panels. A gable-end stack and a cross-axial stack are present. The rear of the properties includes a long gabled wing. Group value derives from the buildings' contribution to the wider historic vernacular landscape.
