Description
The former Post Office in Cark is a house that likely dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays with a central entrance plan. The windows are sashed with glazing bars, each containing 16 panes. The central entrance is adorned with a flat bracketed canopy and a six-fielded-panel door, two of which are glazed. There are gable-end stacks. On the left side, there is a sashed window and another window with a small-paned pivoted casement. The rear wing includes an entrance and two small windows on the ground floor, along with one window on the first floor. The right side of the wing has an entrance and a long window featuring small-paned fixed glazing.
