Description
A row of houses and shops with living spaces above, likely built in the early to mid-19th century. The facades are painted roughcast with painted stone dressings, topped with an artificial slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high, featuring sash windows with simple stone surrounds and projecting stone sills. Number 15, at the left end, has a window on each floor, alongside a door with a plain stone surround. Number 17 is three bays wide, featuring paired doorways in the central bay, each with a plain stone surround. To the left of the doorways is a six-pane sashed window, and to the right, a shop window with a timber entablature and scrolled timber brackets. Number 19 is a single bay, with a shop window similar to Number 17 on the ground floor, and a doorway to its right. Number 19A has a six-pane sashed window on the ground floor and a doorway on the left. The front wall of numbers 19 and 19A is slightly battered, suggesting potential earlier building remains. Chimneys are located to the right of number 15, between numbers 17 and 19, and at the right end of the row.
