Description

This milestone, located on the east side of the road about 100 yards northeast of Hutton Yeat, is possibly from the early 19th century. It is made of a single piece of stone, approximately 2 feet high, and has a triangular shape with a domical top and ruled dressing. The stone is painted white, featuring sans-serif lettering and numbers in black: "KIRKBY LONSDALE 7" on the north face and "KENDAL 5" on the south face.
