Description
This milestone, located approximately 180 meters northwest of the entrance to Barkin House, is likely from the early 19th century. It is made of dressed limestone and features an upright stone with a round head and deep chamfers on the front corners, although no stops were visible at the time of the survey. The stone is painted black and white, displaying numbers in oval panels: "5 7 KIRKBY-" on the northwest side and "KENDAL" on the southeast side. This milestone is a variant of a type found in neighboring parishes.
